The Brinkmann Edison Mk II is a reference MM and MC phono stage engineered to extract the maximum performance from the finest analogue systems. Designed and manufactured in Germany, it combines ultra-low-noise bipolar transistor input stages with carefully selected NOS Telefunken valves, allowing each technology to be used where it performs best while preserving exceptional transparency, dynamic expression and signal integrity.
Three independently configurable inputs, switchable 1:1 input transformers and individually stored gain and loading settings provide exceptional flexibility for multiple tonearms and cartridges. Precision RIAA equalisation is implemented using a combination of passive and feedback networks between the valve gain stages, while the fully balanced output stage and dedicated external power supply contribute to exceptionally low noise and outstanding musical realism.
