Ideon Axiom DAC
The Ideon Audio Axiom DAC is the flagship digital-to-analogue conversion system from Greek manufacturer Ideon Audio, bringing together the company’s most advanced conversion, signal-processing and power supply technologies. Its substantial three-chassis architecture separates the Engine conversion stage, Chrono digital signal processing and Grid power supply into dedicated enclosures. At its heart is a proprietary parallel hybrid conversion engine operating in a fully differential configuration, supported by custom firmware and an advanced analogue output stage employing four discrete, direct-coupled channels without capacitors in the signal path.
The Axiom incorporates Ideon’s proprietary USBCore™ and ChronoCore™ technologies for digital signal buffering, isolation and re-clocking, with the Quantum Sync Interface™ providing a dedicated precision connection between the digital processing and conversion stages. An exceptionally substantial power supply architecture provides extensive current reserves and independent regulation for critical circuits. Hand-built in Greece in strictly limited numbers, the Axiom combines extensive digital engineering with the newly developed Ideon Director application, providing remote operation, filter selection and system configuration.
