Ideon ION DAC
The Ideon Audio IΩN is a reference-level digital-to-analogue converter incorporating technologies developed for the company’s flagship Absolute Epsilon DAC. Designed and manufactured in Greece, it features a proprietary eight-channel hybrid conversion engine operating in a fully differential, parallel architecture, with advanced time-domain control and a symmetrical analogue output stage. Three independent femto-grade clock oscillators, extensive low-noise power regulation and direct-coupled analogue outputs are designed to preserve signal integrity, minimise distortion and deliver exceptional resolution from digital recordings.
Ideon’s proprietary USBCore™ input architecture combines software-controlled signal optimisation, precision re-clocking and dedicated linear power regulation, while the modular construction allows for future upgrades to the DAC and USB processing stages. The IΩN is also available as the IΩN+, incorporating a fully balanced analogue preamplifier with two additional analogue inputs and software-controlled analogue volume adjustment. This allows the IΩN+ to function as the central control component of a high-end audio system, connecting digital and analogue sources directly to a power amplifier without requiring a separate preamplifier.
