Gryphon Apex Stereo Power Amplifier
The Gryphon Apex Stereo is Gryphon Audio Designs’ flagship pure Class A stereo power amplifier, engineered without conventional restrictions on size, weight or cost. Designed and manufactured in Denmark, its pure dual-mono architecture combines balanced dual-differential Class A input circuitry, an ultra-fast symmetrical Class A voltage amplification stage and zero global negative feedback to deliver exceptional transparency, dynamic authority and control.
Sixty-four very high-current bipolar output transistors, an enormous 1,040,000µF capacitor bank and two bespoke 2,000VA toroidal transformers provide extraordinary energy reserves, allowing the Apex Stereo to deliver 210W per channel into 8 ohms, 420W into 4 ohms, 800W into 2 ohms and 1,490W into 1 ohm. Fully regulated low-noise supplies for the voltage amplification stages, extensive constrained-layer chassis damping and Gryphon silver internal wiring complete an uncompromising amplifier designed to maintain refinement and musical resolution while controlling virtually any loudspeaker load.
