The Gryphon Essence Monoblock is a pure Class A power amplifier engineered to deliver exceptional transparency, dynamic ease and control from an uncompromising single-channel architecture. Designed and manufactured in Denmark, each monoblock employs a fully symmetrical input and voltage amplification stage, zero global negative feedback and separate power supplies for the driver and output stages to preserve signal integrity.
Twenty high-current Sanken bipolar output transistors and an enormous 880,000µF capacitor bank in each monoblock provide exceptional current reserves, delivering 55W into 8 ohms, 110W into 4 ohms and 220W into 2 ohms in pure Class A. A custom 1350VA toroidal transformer, DC-coupled signal path and minimal internal wiring contribute to exceptional control, transient speed and musical transparency, while Gryphon’s Green Bias system allows automatic or manual adjustment of Class A bias.
