The Gryphon Essence Stereo is a pure Class A power amplifier engineered to combine exceptional transparency, dynamic ease and tonal neutrality with the current capability required to control demanding loudspeakers. Designed and manufactured in Denmark, its pure dual-mono architecture employs fully symmetrical input and voltage amplification stages, zero global negative feedback and separate power supplies for the driver and output stages to preserve signal integrity.
Ten high-current Sanken bipolar output transistors per channel and a massive 440,000µF capacitor bank allow the Essence Stereo to deliver 50W per channel into 8 ohms, doubling to 100W into 4 ohms and 200W into 2 ohms in pure Class A. A custom 1350VA toroidal transformer, DC-coupled signal path and minimal internal wiring contribute to exceptional control, transient speed and musical transparency, while Gryphon’s Green Bias system allows automatic or manual adjustment of Class A bias.
