The Marten Coltrane Quintet is a reference-level four-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed and handcrafted in Sweden. Its five-driver configuration combines a custom 1-inch pure diamond tweeter, 3-inch pure beryllium upper-midrange driver, 7-inch convex carbon-fibre mid/bass driver and two 10-inch aluminium sandwich bass drivers. Each diaphragm material is selected for its particular mechanical properties, allowing the individual drivers to operate within carefully defined frequency ranges. The diamond and beryllium drivers provide exceptional high-frequency and midrange resolution, while the carbon-fibre and aluminium sandwich units deliver precise transient reproduction, low distortion and substantial bass authority. With a specified frequency response of 18Hz to 60kHz, the Coltrane Quintet offers remarkable bandwidth and dynamic capability.
The Coltrane Quintet incorporates Marten’s signature first-order crossover architecture, engineered to maintain time and phase coherence between its four frequency bands. Premium components include copper-foil air-core coils, silver/copper oil-paper capacitors, silver/gold capacitors and custom-made resistors, complemented by Jorma internal wiring. Its substantial 20–30mm carbon-fibre laminate cabinet provides exceptional structural rigidity, while a composite front baffle incorporating aluminium, fibreboard and solid wood further controls unwanted resonance. Mirror-polished stainless-steel supports incorporate Marten Isolators developed with IsoAcoustics, providing mechanical isolation from the floor. An optional Statement Edition introduces upgraded crossover components and Jorma Statement internal wiring.

The optional Statement Edition retains the same driver configuration and carbon-fibre cabinet construction, with two principal upgrades:
