The Marten Dexter Trio is a high-performance 2.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed and handcrafted in Sweden. Part of the company’s new Dexter Series, it combines a custom-developed 1-inch pure diamond tweeter with two 7.5-inch ceramic mid/bass drivers, bringing technologies developed for Marten’s more ambitious loudspeaker designs into a relatively compact floorstanding enclosure. The diamond tweeter offers exceptional diaphragm rigidity and low moving mass, while the ceramic drivers are engineered for controlled piston-like movement and minimal distortion. With a specified frequency response of 25Hz to 45kHz and sensitivity of 91dB, the Dexter Trio provides substantial bandwidth and dynamic capability.
The Dexter Trio incorporates Marten’s proprietary M-Core triple-layer cabinet construction, complemented by a carbon-fibre laminate faceplate and the newly developed Loaded Reflex Line bass-loading system. Its carefully shaped internal channel terminates in a wide downward-firing outlet, reducing air velocity and providing extended, controlled bass reproduction with greater flexibility in room placement. A bespoke multi-diverse crossover, Jorma Duality internal wiring and pure copper rhodium-plated terminals complete the design, while mirror-polished stainless-steel supports incorporate Marten Isolators developed with IsoAcoustics. An optional Statement Edition introduces upgraded crossover components and Jorma Statement internal wiring.
