The AVID Ingenium is a belt-drive turntable engineered to bring the core design principles of AVID’s reference record players to a more accessible level without compromising the company’s engineering philosophy. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the Ingenium combines a high-mass platter, precision inverted bearing and isolated AC synchronous motor to provide outstanding rotational stability and low mechanical noise.
A 2.5kg precision-machined platter, inverted stainless steel bearing with a tungsten carbide and sapphire thrust point, and AVID’s three-point elastomer suspension contribute to its clarity, timing and dynamic expression. The separate power supply and isolated motor assembly minimise the transmission of vibration into the chassis, while the Ingenium’s modular design provides a clear upgrade path as an analogue system develops.
