The Brinkmann Balance is a reference belt-drive turntable that has remained at the heart of Brinkmann Audio’s range for over four decades through continual engineering refinement rather than wholesale redesign. Designed and manufactured in Germany, it combines a high-mass platter, precision round-belt drive and Helmut Brinkmann’s unique heated hydrodynamic bearing to deliver exceptional speed stability, mechanical consistency and long-term performance.
An 18kg resonance-optimised alloy platter with a recessed crystal glass surface, electronically heated precision bearing and proprietary Sinus motor contribute to its clarity, timing and dynamic expression. Brinkmann’s interchangeable Collar System accommodates virtually any 9 to 12-inch tonearm, while the screw-down record clamp and external power supply preserve rotational stability and minimise unwanted vibration. The optional RöNt II valve power supply further enhances the turntable’s already exceptional performance.
