Deux Faces offers a bittersweet reflection on marriage and relationships, exploring the complexity and duality of human connection, Hary presents the songs in two forms —with a full band, and as an intimate duet with bassist Cohen-Milo. This concept of “two sides” runs throughout the record, from its double-exposure cover picture by photographer Katha Mau to the album’s title, Deux Faces — meaning both “two sides” and a nod to the A and B sides of a vinyl record.
Like all LowSwing productions, Deux Faces was produced entirely in the analogue domain. Tracked to 2” tape and mixed on a Telefunken M15a tape machine, it stands as another pure analogue gem from Berlin’s vibrant music scene.
LowSwing Records is a record label dedicated to the love of music on the analogue format . Each LowSwing release is recorded and mixed to tape and cut directly to vinyl. At the heart of the label is LowSwing Recording Studio in Berlin, where producer and engineer Guy Sternberg crafts timeless recordings, capturing exciting new artists with classic production values of yesteryear.
