Veronika Morscher - Blooming LOSW011 Vinyl

In June 2024 Veronika Morscher's album “Blooming” was released on the all analogue label LowSwing Records. It’s her second album of all original music and words and it features the highly acclaimed British keyboardist Kit Downes, guitarist Hanno Busch, German Jazz Prize Nominee bass player Lisa Hoppe and known drummer Amir Bresler. Singer-songwriter and jazz-vocalist Veronika Morscher has collaborated on numerous projects and albums over the last few years. She has won the Culture Prize in the category of Jazz in 2017 in Austria, been awarded the Jazz Prize in Bonn in 2019 and was nominated for the German Jazz Prize in 2023 for “Best Vocal Jazz Album of the Year” with her album collaboration “Tales From the Wooden Kingdom”.

Her new album is a great example of her delicate and personal songwriting and the breath-taking live performance in the studio shows Morscher's unique vocal technique as well as leaving the space for her dream band shine. The result is a deep and joyful 37minutes of pure musical celebration.

Like all LowSwing recordings, “Blooming” was recorded completely analogue. Tracked to 2” Tape and mixed to a Studer A80 1/2” tape machine at 30ips, it is another pure analogue pearl coming from Berlin.
