The EMT 128 is a reference moving coil phono stage engineered to deliver exceptional technical performance while preserving the natural character of analogue replay. Designed and manufactured in Switzerland, it employs an entirely valve-based amplification circuit using integrated input and output transformers, combining classic analogue principles with modern mechanical engineering and exceptionally low noise performance.
Six subminiature military-grade valves, custom input and output transformers and a chassis machined from a solid block of aluminium contribute to its clarity, dynamic expression and precise retrieval of musical detail. Selectable RIAA and DIN 78 equalisation, stereo and mono operation, and user-selectable gain settings allow the EMT 128 to partner a wide range of low-output moving coil cartridges while maintaining outstanding transparency and musical realism.
