Goldmund is a Swiss high-end audio manufacturer producing amplifiers, preamplifiers, digital sources, processors, active loudspeakers and bespoke home cinema systems.
Founded in France in 1978 with the servo-controlled T3 tonearm, the company moved to Geneva in 1980 and has since developed landmark products including the Reference turntable, Apologue loudspeaker and Telos amplifiers.
Goldmund’s defining strength is its control of the complete signal path. Its active loudspeakers use one DAC and amplifier channel for each drive unit, replacing passive crossovers with DSP calculated through the proprietary Proteus modelling system. Leonardo time correction compensates for phase and group-delay errors, Telos amplification is designed for wide bandwidth and very low output impedance, and Mechanical Grounding manages vibration within both loudspeakers and electronics. Together, these technologies target accurate timing, controlled bass and stable spatial placement rather than adding a deliberate tonal character.

Goldmund Telos 1800 is a reference monoblock power amplifier engineered to deliver exceptional control, transparency and dynamic expression without compromise. Designed and manufactured in Switzerland, it employs Goldmund’s latest proprietary Telos Class AB amplification technology together with a high-current power supply, providing outstanding loudspeaker control and effortless power delivery for the most demanding reference systems.
A 2500VA toroidal transformer, 78,400µF capacitor bank and Goldmund’s high-bandwidth Telos amplification stage contribute to its clarity, transient speed and precise retrieval of musical detail. Extremely low output impedance, a damping factor of 600 and an extensively reinforced aluminium chassis preserve dynamic accuracy and bass control, allowing the Telos 1800 to drive virtually any loudspeaker with exceptional authority while maintaining remarkable musical realism.
