The Velodyne Acoustics SPL-X is the company’s flagship range of active subwoofers, engineered to deliver exceptional low-frequency extension, dynamic authority and precise integration within high-end music and home cinema systems. Available with 10, 12, 15 or 18-inch drivers, each model uses a heavily reinforced sealed HDF enclosure and high-power Class D amplification to provide controlled, low-distortion bass from a relatively compact cabinet.
High-performance carbon-fibre drivers feature dual-spider suspension, vented baskets, large multi-layer voice coils and triple ferrite magnet systems for exceptional control at high excursion. DSP-controlled automatic room calibration, a fully parametric 6-band EQ and comprehensive app control allow precise optimisation for the listening environment, while balanced XLR, RCA and high-level connectivity provide extensive flexibility across both two-channel and home cinema systems.
