Brinkmann Audio
Germany
Brinkmann Audio is a German manufacturer of high-end turntables, tonearms, phono stages and electronics.
Helmut Brinkmann’s designs are built around precision bearing systems, carefully controlled motor drive and power supply quality, with direct-drive models such as the Bardo, Oasis and Taurus forming a major part of the range.
Brinkmann’s distinctive approach is its refinement of direct drive. Rather than using brute motor torque, Brinkmann focuses on low-noise rotational stability, mechanical precision and carefully engineered power supplies, including the RöNt tube power supply for its turntables.

The Brinkmann Marconi Mk II is a reference line preamplifier engineered to preserve musical integrity through an exceptionally transparent signal path and uncompromising circuit design. Designed and manufactured in Germany, it combines Helmut Brinkmann’s latest hybrid circuitry with extensive input configuration and precise volume control, delivering exceptional clarity, dynamic expression and the ability to drive virtually any power amplifier with ease.
Brinkmann’s hybrid circuit combines ultra-low-noise bipolar transistors with carefully selected NOS Telefunken valves, using each technology where it performs best. Individual input gain trim, a motorised analogue volume control and balanced output stage contribute to outstanding signal integrity, while remote-controlled input selection, phase inversion and stored input settings make the Marconi Mk II equally refined in daily use and ultimate system performance.

The Brinkmann Mono is a reference monoblock power amplifier engineered to deliver exceptional control, transparency and dynamic expression with even the most demanding loudspeakers. Designed and manufactured in Germany, it employs a fully balanced driver stage, an advanced Diamond output topology and an exceptionally high-current power supply, allowing music to flow with remarkable ease while maintaining complete authority over the loudspeaker load.
A 1500W peak-capable power transformer, four high-capacity reservoir capacitors totalling 132mF and four Sanken high-performance output transistors contribute to its clarity, transient speed and effortless dynamic capability. The extremely compact internal layout keeps signal paths to an absolute minimum, while the Diamond output stage maintains a low output impedance across the audio band without global feedback, preserving both precision and musical realism.
