A custom carbon-fibre armwand combines exceptionally high rigidity with low mass and effective internal damping, partnered with a lightweight magnesium headshell to further reduce mass at the cartridge end of the arm. At its heart is a precision Swiss-manufactured matched tungsten-carbide bearing with a microscopically polished pivot and matching cup, surrounded by specialised silicone damping fluid. Its Magneglide magnetic stabilisation system controls azimuth and maintains movement in a true vertical plane, while Neutral Balance geometry keeps tracking force consistent as the arm follows record warps.

A redesigned pivot assembly uses constrained-layer damping with two high-density metals and a non-magnetic tungsten insert to provide zero-tolerance bearing contact, high energy absorption and exceptionally low-friction movement. A larger, rigid damped titanium armwand, decoupled counterweight and upgraded Litz-based internal wiring further control resonance and preserve signal integrity. Removable 9, 10 and 12-inch armwands allow precise off-turntable cartridge alignment and make the Phantom Elite suitable for a wide range of reference analogue systems.

Its patented Magneglide magnetic stabilisation system provides lateral stability and damping while allowing the arm to operate in true Neutral Balance, maintaining consistent tracking force as the cartridge follows record warps.

A titanium armwand, upgraded pivot assembly and constrained-layer brass and tungsten bearing housing provide high rigidity, effective energy control and mechanical damping. Fluid damping works alongside the Magneglide system to control unwanted movement, while the removable armwand and comprehensive adjustment of VTA, azimuth, tracking force and anti-skating allow exceptionally precise cartridge setup. The Phantom III is available in 9, 10 and 12-inch versions to suit a wide range of turntables and cartridges.
